It felt a little wordy at times and I'd overall say it just isn't for me.MidNot trashNot wowRanobe FanMade discord server :))I don't have a complete evaluation yet, but I've read at least 50 chapters and from what I've seen so far, the novel is very good. The protagonist is cunning and intelligent, extremely manipulative and certainly not a good person, but he's not a bad person either, he just does what needs to be done. The energy system is pretty easy to understand, nothing too innovative, the world building is going well so far and the characters have personality and aren't just cardboard cutouts. I rate this novel with a potential B or B+. I'll read a few more chapters and then make a more comprehensive assessment.This story is very 4 star. It isn’t going to blow you away with how creative or deep it is, but it is generally original enough for a story from RR. The old man MC is OP enough to get away with doing what he wants, which is just different from the usual most of the time to be interesting. If you don’t like the whole OP MC concealing power and lurk in the shadows thing this might not be for you. He does show off, but never all the cards.
